  • There is more demand for verified healthy, low load homes beyond ‘green’ vagueness.

  • The build industry is more familiar and prepared to sell and deliver Passive projects

This event is designed for builders, trade contractors, building officials, designers, learners and all ‘doers’ involved in high performance construction in Western MA - with an interest in learning more about Phius passive house certification.
All are welcome.

Following the success of other BS & Beer events , spun off from the BS & BEER Show podcast, we’re building the community in our region. The intention and purpose is to provide a space for networking and technical conversation, in the context of a specific building science related topic (and quality beverages) .

On April 22 , the grill will be hot and bevs fresh .
Come walkthrough a build in process by Oxbow Design Build Co-op . The builder, CPHC, and Rater will be there for a short dynamic presentation on the phius process and flow. We will get the project out of 2D plans, checklists, program requirements and into real life- in front of you , on site.

The agenda :

4- 4:20 pm, mingle, get a root , N/A or real beer , snacks, unwind.

4:30 - 5:15 - Intro , welcome and low key walking presentation by :
Builder/owner (Carl Woodruff, Oxbow)
CPHC (John Loercher, NE Projects)
Rater (Adin Maynard, Power House)

The ‘tour’ will include time for questions and discussion .

5:30-6pm+ Hang out , hot grill, cold drinks, perfect weather to ruminate on your next passive build .
